Background Information

Oral and maxillofacial surgeons have graduated from dental school, and must complete at a minimum a four yearresidency surgicalprogram andanesthesia training, to achieve the credentials required to treat conditions, injuries, and defects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face.

Dr. Logie completed a six year hospital residency, including one year of general surgery. As Dr. Logie additionally holds a Doctorate of Medicine, licensed in Indiana, he is uniquely qualified as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Dr. Logie treats a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Encompassing a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery.  Dr. Logie’s expertise ranges from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to evaluation and biopsy of oral pathology. Procedures include techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.

The staff at Lake Michigan Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are experienced and caring oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants who aid in the administration of anesthesia, surgery and recovery. The entire staff is trained in assisting with intravenous (IV) sedation. Patients are continuously monitored during surgery and throughout the recovery process.
